This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) describes how  AppCensus (“AppCensus” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, shares, and processes personal information; your rights and choices regarding your personal information; how to contact us; and how we protect your personal information when you visit our website or use our services. AppCensus offers comprehensive mobile app privacy analysis to help legal, product, and technical teams meet regulatory and app store compliance requirements. Our platform captures and analyzes how mobile apps collect, share, and protect data, and outlines steps to address identified risks and strengthen privacy practices. We collect minimal personal information and do not access source code or mobile app user data. This approach enables a privacy-preserving assessment of potential privacy and security risks.

We collect limited personal information from users of our website and services. 

Information you provide when contacting us through our website:

• When you inquire about, use, or purchase our services, we collect contact information such as your full name, company name, and email address. We also collect any information you voluntarily provide, such as the contents of a message or attachments you send to our Contact Us email account. 

Information you provide directly to us when you contract with us for our services:

• Account information – When you establish an account, we collect information such as your name and email address. You provide this information directly when contracting with us for our services so we can create your login credentials.
• Transactional information – When you purchase our services, we collect payment information related to our services, such as billing address and other information we need to store about you based on our legal obligations.  
• Mobile app information – When you submit a mobile app for analysis, we review it in a secure, controlled environment. We do not collect information from actual users of the submitted mobile app; all data is generated from simulated use in our testing environment.

Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies:

• We do not use cookies or other similar technologies for advertising, analytics, or tracking your activity across other websites. We only use session cookies in our platform that are necessary for it to work properly. For example, session cookies keep you logged in as you move between pages. These cookies automatically expire when your session ends.

Third Parties

• We do not collect personal information from third parties. 

AppCensus uses the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Service communication – We use your personal information to provide access to our services, send you mobile app scan results, and to send you support and administrative messages by email.
• Transactions – We use your information to process transactions and send related information, such as invoices and receipts, invoices,. 
• Support and inquiries – We use your information to respond to requests and communicate with you via email or phone. 

AppCensus does not share or sell your personal information with third parties. We do not “sell” or “share” personal information (as those terms are defined under applicable U.S. state privacy laws). We disclose personal information only to:

You may update and correct certain account information at any time by emailing us at privacy@appcensus.io. If you wish to delete your account, please email us with your account information, but note that we may retain certain information as required by law or for our legitimate business purposes.

AppCensus’s site and services are not directed to children under the age of 16. To use AppCensus’s  services, you must be old enough to consent to the processing of your personal information under the laws of your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from anyone under the age of 16 without verification or parental consent, we take steps to remove such information.
